I shouldn’t be watching this episode of Criminal Minds.  It’s one of the ones that tries to deal with multiplicity and…it’s kind of.  Not good.  Argh.

My friend is in love with Criminal Minds and has put together a list of DO and DON’T watch episodes for me. She says a few of the DON’T episodes have multiplicity fail.

The problem isn’t so much the portrayals of the systems themselves, but rather the way the other characters react to it, and the fact that there’s been three episodes with two systems (I think) and with both, one of the system members is incredibly criminally violent.  It’s just a lot of misinformation packaged in poor choices of terminology and ultimately harmful stereotypes.

There’s ways they could have done it better, is what I’m saying, I guess.
